Here are a few pictures from our trip to Paris at the end of February. During the day the city wasn't too attractive since there were no leaves on the trees or flowers in bloom, but the evening came alive with lights and it was beautiful!

Notre Dame
Who else thought it was merely the name of a football team?

The Arch De TriumphNapoleon had this arch built but unfortunately for him he died before he was able to march through it himself. When his remains were finally returned to the city it was then that he entered.
The tomb of the unknown soldier lays beneath the arch and there is also an eternal flame that burns.
A Nieuport fighter was flown through the Arc de Triomphe in 1919, three weeks after the victory parade as a salute to all the airmen killed in World War One. In 1998 a drunk Mexican national soccer fan extenguished the flame by peeing on it. Afterwards he was arrested for public intoxication.

I have no idea what this is, but it's pretty.~
