Three days late and still waiting! I had my membranes swept yesterday, gross I know, and still nothing. Jim and I were told that this works to get things going in 50% of women, but I guess I'm in the half that doesn't. I've eaten spicy food and done some walking, but still waiting!! I have another appointment on Monday with Labor and Delivery if nothing is happened by then and that's when they'll decide whether or not to induce. Jim says this won't be the last time we have to wait around for her, assuming it is a girl like we were told, which is probably the truth. At least he's had practice by waiting around for me! The baby bedding arrived day before yesterday so we've finished the room except for some curtains and a few pictures we ordered that should be in this weekend. She's not even here yet and she has taken over with every room in the house having something of hers. The swing in the living room, high chair in the dining room, stroller and car seat in the hallway, bottles in the kitchen, crib and stuff in her room, Moses basket in our room, bouncy seat in guest room, and rubber ducky in bathroom. I'm sure once she gets here the toys will follow her around the house as well.
With our move and the new arrival we aren't the only ones who've had to adjust. Jemma is doing great in her new home and has even made friends with the neighbor lady who has volunteered to look after Jemma when Jim and I go to the hospital. She has a good sized yard to roam around in and is very protective at the front gate, you never know when a big bad bear may be lurking about so she's always ready with a guarding grrrr for the passers by. I was told to play some recordings of a baby's cry so that she'd get used to the sound, but have not done that as of yet. I guess we'll all have to get used to that lovely sound together. We are planning to bring home some things that Jailee has slept in at the hospital before she actually gets home, this way Jemma can get accustomed to the smell of the baby and be somewhat prepared. Of course with all the new things arriving she's sniffed them out, but is still not too sure about the big scary items like the stroller and swing. You can understand her concern, you never know when they will jump out and grab her!!
Well, all......until next time which will hopefully be a happy announcement of the new arrival. Miss you all.

We can't wait until that call comes to announce Jailee's arrival. I heard the Queen Mum is also anxious to hear. Hang in there my dear and enjoy your quiet because you may not have too much in the near future. We love you.
Dad (or Grandpa Gary)
The other tip in regards to pets and new babies is when you gt home, to have mommy enter first without baby (baby waits with daddy at car) so the dog, happy to see mommy back after being gone at the hospital, can jump up, lick mommy, and say "glad to see you back" without worry of harming baby.
