She Made It

Jailee Rhyce Ottman was born on April 28th at 5:23pm. She weighed in at 8lbs 3 oz and 20.5 inches long. Mommy and Baby are doing great and should be home soon. The day went well, Jackie started getting induced around 10am and was feeling strong contractions by noon. By 1:30 she had the "wonder shot" and was feeling no pain. Around 2:30 they checked her and she was dialated at 8cm so it was getting close. By 4pm we were on our way. There were a few issues with Jailee's heart rate during contractions so they kept a close eye on her but she was fine. Her cord was around her neck so the doctor cut it as soon as her head popped out and from there everything went smoothe. I saw the whole thing and didn't pass out, only a little light headed when it was all over. Jackie did great!!!

There will be more updates to come, thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

Awesome news, guys! Glad you survived the whole thing so far. Wait until you see "merconium"! Trust me though, with a newborn, the diapers are the easiest part!
